1 Samuel 3:18 (NKJV) 18 ..., "It is the LORD. Let Him do what seems good to Him."
Many acknowledge there is a God, very few accept, what He desires to do in our lives. Why is it so hard to trust God, I am so glad you asked.
From birth we are taught to trust the five senses, when uncomfortable we cry, when hungry we eat, these and the other senses are sharpened to satisfy our wants not our needs. God promises to meet our needs Philippians 4:19 in Christ Jesus, what we want most often speaks of the fleshly desires. However, what we need, may only be discerned by the presence of the Holy Spirit whom we receive through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. See in John 14:26 "He will teach you all things," we must be taught by the Spirit of God, difficulties and trials are circumstances the teacher uses.
My sense of smell will be offended, but God may be asking me to help the extremely sick, my comfort can be affected, but He may be calling me to a difficult task. You see, God wants the best for you, but that may not be what you consider the best. What ever darws me close to my Creator that, is what God is using to teach me! Are you willing to turst God with everything in your life, that is the difference between a Christ-one (christian) and the world. "It is the LORD."
Heavenly Father, thank You for the things that make me seek You, thank You for the struggles that bring me to my knees, thank You for those You have put in my life that remind me to trust You. Please do what seems good to You! Amen
