LOOKING FOR SIGNS

Matthew 24:30 (NKJV) 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, ... and they will see

Human nature desires a sign for proof of expectations or desires we want fulfilled. God knows our hearts He acknowledges we want our senses tickled. Matthew 12:39 However, the Lord teaches the only sign, will be the sign of the coming Lord of Glory to gather His elect who by FAITH believed and received Him into themselves. Those who have trusted Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior know Him personally, I mean they have an intimate on going daily relationship with their Creator. Yes there are events  our Lord warned us about, they are only the beginning He said. Matthew 24:8
We will see Him come in all His Glory, but then it will be too late to repent and ask Jesus into your heart, please do it today.

Heavenly Father Your Word is clear we must confess and believe in our heart that Jesus is Your Son or we will will be forever lost. Help us today to know you personally, to receive you completely and obey with all our hearts. Amen

WHAT CAN WE DO?

Luke 3:10 (NKJV) 10 So the people asked him, saying, "What shall we do then?"

John calls his congregation to works that prove their relationship to the Creator. Hearts that are tuned like a fine instrument to play the melody which will give Glory to God alone. The preacher reminds his hearers that the tree which does not bear fruit of the life intertwined with God, will be separated and destroyed. "What shall we do then?" Is the realization of being absolutely without any ability on my own to  do God's will without God's presence. It is the cry of the soul without hope, it is the piercing of the life satisfied with self, which awakens to the reality of eternal life without Jesus.
The teacher says, GIVE to those without, be HONEST, be TRUTHFUL, and finally, do not ATTACK others or COMPLAIN about what you have. Why, because there is ONE who can give life eternally in Heaven or Hell. That One is Jesus, The Christ, who came to show all men how to live in this life, Holy, for God says, "Be Holy for I am Holy. Without Holy living no man will produce the fruit of righteousness, that is the evidence of a saved life. Trust the One who can give you eternal life in Heaven.

Heavenly Father let us see your Grace so clearly that we too will ask "What shall I do," to be saved and do the works of God. Let us trust completely in You with our whole life, that we might be found faithfully producing the fruit of righteousness. Amen

ENDURING

Matthew 24:13 (NKJV) 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
A time of great turmoil and trouble is coming for all mankind, the Lord is refering to the last days of man in this life. Those listening are hearing the Creator and Savior of the universe explain mans coming end. Thinking on our mortality brings thoughts of a right relationship with the One who made us, so what is right, what will confirm, what will guarntee my future existence with and in the presence of God. I am glad you asked. Jesus tells all who will listen Luke 6:27 "Love your enemies, do good, bless, give, and be merciful, these things can only be accomplished through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. do you know He is in you? Have you humbly confessed "I am a sinner" and asked Him to forgive you and come into your life? then you will endure to the end!

Father help our unbelief, help us to endure, help we pray to be to those around us everything Jesus wants us to be. Amen

WALKING

Genesis 6:9 ... Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.

Noah walked alone in a generation that denied God access to their lives. The referenced verse states Noah was found to be righteous (just) and blameless (perfect). This man lived a Holy life pleasing to God and we are told the reason, "Noah WALKED with God." In reading this text, the conclusion must be no one else walked with God, there was not found one other family unit that would identify themselves with God. The question begs an answer, how did Noah walk with God? He deliberately spent time seeking his maker, Noah searched for spiritual understanding, this man Noah knocked where God lived and his legacy says, Noah walked with God. Lk. 11:9
Will this be your epitaph, will those who remember us say we were servants who loved the Most High God? Only if we have trusted every fiber of our being to the Lord Jesus Christ, anything less is unholy.

Heavenly Father may we be found searching, seeking and knocking for your Presence, in all our ways everyday. May we hunger and thirst for righteousness, may our desire be to walk with you daily. Amen

THE HIGH COST OF SIN

Gen 4:6 So the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?

God brings three specific questions to Cain about his attitude and the nature of man. "Why are you angry," "Where is your brother," "What have you done?" Our Creator wants us to recognize sin before we embrace it. Anger is a symptom of something brewing within, blaming others is a symptom of internal conflict, and ignoring the pressure of selfishness is the beginning of shipwreck. Cain blamed his brother, God and circumstances for his failures, what are you pointing at for your failures today?
We can ask ourselves these three simple questions and avoid the spiral into the high cost of sin. Why am I angry, where did this start, and what have I done, these questions will make us focus on us not others. God wants to forgive us but we must make a point of examining ourselves.

Heavenly Father, help us to see Your Word has every answer to our problems, help us to look by faith at the truth that will make us free, help us to avoid the high cost of sin! Amen
